Percussion Ensemble
The Southeast Missouri State University Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Shane Mizicko, is comprised of undergraduate students and is open to any percussionist at Southeast with the permission of the director. Each semester the percussion ensemble performs a wide variety of repertoire representing many eras, styles, and composers. Along with the ensemble’s annual fall and spring semester concerts the Southeast Percussion Ensemble also performs a Family Holiday Concert each December.
Steel Drum Band
The Steel Drum Band at Southeast is known for bringing warm sounds with a variety of performance capabilities. The band’s repertoire includes a compilation of Caribbean, jazz, funk, popular, and classical music selections. Under the leadership and direction of Dr. Shane Mizicko, the Steel Drum Band is very active on campus and in the community.
