Crime Statistics
Continue to main contentThe Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act requires all campus police or security departments to create, maintain, and make available a daily crime log.
The purpose of the log is to record all criminal incidents and alleged criminal incidents that occur on campus, on non-campus property and on public property adjacent to campus that have been reported to campus police. In addition to criminal offenses, this log includes complaints, incidents and requests for police service that are received by the Department of Public Safety at Southeast Missouri State University. The log includes the type, location, date and time the incident is reported, as well as the date and time the incident occurred and a disposition of the incident.
Incidents are posted to the crime log within two business days of reporting. A business day is Monday through Friday, except for days when the institution is closed (for example, holidays or other scheduled breaks). The log is available for public inspection of the most recent 60-day period. Entries that are older than 60-days will be made available for review within two business days of request.
This web version is provided as alternative viewing of the daily log. A printed version of the daily log is available for review 24 hours a day in the lobby of Southeast Missouri State University’s Department of Public Safety, 1401 N. Sprigg St., Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63701.
