The Southeast Missouri Symphony Orchestra performs works that vary from Baroque to Classical to Twentieth Century. Treat yourself to an evening of extraordinary musical entertainment.

All currently enrolled Southeast students can get one $5 ticket to each River Campus produced event.  To get this discount, the student must present their Southeast ID at any of the three university box offices.

Mark your calendars now! Individual tickets for the 24/25 season go on sale August 19 at 9 a.m. Season ticket renewals will go out to current season ticket holders by June 28. Gala Season Opener (Oct. 15)

Bedell Performance Hall. 7:30 p.m. Featuring guest musician, Sirena Huang, joins the Southeast Missouri State Symphony Orchestra as they open their 24th season with Bruch’s famous Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor. St. Louis Symphony Orchestra (Oct. 30)

Bedell Performance Hall. 7:30 p.m. Internationally recognized, the St. Louis Symphony will return to the River Campus with a program of great symphonic masterpieces, including Coleridge-Taylor’s Ballade, Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, and Tchaikovsky’s celebrated Symphony No. 5. Finzi, In Terra Pax (Dec. 3)

Bedell Performance Hall. 7:30 p.m. The beautiful choral and orchestral work, In Terra Pax, by British composer Gerald Finzi, interweaves the Biblical story of the nativity with text from Robert Bridges’ poem, “Noel: Christmas Eve, 1913.” It is a work of great beauty and simplicity, with a message of peace to all. Also on the program will be festive works for the symphony orchestra. Discounts Available. Symphonic Pops (March 4)

Bedell Performance Hall. 7:30 p.m. It is an exciting concert featuring thrilling works for orchestra by contemporary composers such as John Williams and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Music for film and stage will light up patrons as we also showcase our musical stars, the stellar talents of the 2024—2025 Concerto and Aria Competition Winners! Discounts Available. Bernstein, Chichester Psalms (April 29)

Bedell Performance Hall. 7:30 p.m. Bernstein’s heartfelt and richly scored choral and orchestral work, the Chichester Psalms, has as its text several well-known psalms, including Psalm 23 (“the Lord is my shepherd”) and Psalm 100 (“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord”). Additional works for orchestra and choirs will be presented on this program to close out our 24th season. Discounts Available.
