Directed by Dr. Patrick Hopkins, the Southeast Missouri State Symphony Orchestra performs works that vary from Baroque to Classical to Modern. Currently enrolled Southeast students get in free for university-produced events by presenting their Southeast ID for a ticket at the River Campus Box Office or online.

TICKET INFORMATION

Season ticket packages are on sale now. Email tickets@semo.edu or call us at (573) 651-2265 for details. Individual ticket sales begin August 24. Currently enrolled SEMO students can get a free ticket, for their personal use, to non-rental / HCAM produced events; select the ticket link or stop by the River Campus box office to get your ticket. A valid SEMO ID will be required to be shown upon entry to the venue.

SEPT. 25: Pops in the Park!

Dan Cotner Amphitheater - Capaha Park. Free Event. Back by popular demand! Join the Southeast Missouri State University Symphony Orchestra for an evening of Broadway favorites and patriotic classics. This concert is presented free of charge for our local community.

OCT. 23: The Romantics

Bedell Performance Hall. 7:30 p.m. The Southeast Missouri State University Symphony Orchestra opens its season with three pillars of the Romantic orchestral repertoire. Pianist Alexandra Joan joins the orchestra for Franz Liszt's L'Italiana in Algeri and Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 7 in D minor. Reserved seating. Online ticket prices range $25 - $32.75.

DEC. 1: The Messiah

Bedell Performance Hall. 7:30 p.m. The Southeast Missouri State University choir and choral union join the orchestra for Handel's Messiah, a perfect way to begin the holiday season. Also featured is award-winning oboist Thomas Gallant performing Richard Strauss' Oboe Concerto and Debussy's Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun. Reserved seating. MARCH 9: EROICA

Bedell Performance Hall. 7:30 p.m. An evening of music inspired by nature. The concert opens with Arturo Marquez's vibrant Danzon No. 2 and concludes with Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 "Eroica". Also featured will be the winners of the SEMO Concerto and Aria Competition. Reserved seating. Online ticket prices range $25 - $32.75.

APRIL 30 & MAY 1: The Lion King in Concert

Bedell Performance Hall. 7:30 p.m. The Southeast Missouri State University Symphony Orchestra will close its season with Disney's The Lion King (1994). Bring the family to see the movie along with the live orchestral performance of Hans Zimmer's Academy Award-winning score. Reserved seating. Online ticket prices range $25 - $32.75.
