Visit the Charles L. Hutson Greenhouse for The Mummas & Pawpaws Fall Fest. There will be fall mums and pumpkins for sale, a Master Gardeners seminar, walking tours of the Nemanick Gardens, pawpaw refreshments, food trucks, and more! 
The greenhouse is located at 1039 Bertling Street. It is open to the public all year. Call (573) 651-2316 for more information.

Have you ever wondered how far you can see from the top of the Dome in Academic Hall? Attend one of the tours and find out. Tours end promptly at noon, so be sure to come early!

    Bring your family inside to play BINGO. Win Southeast-spirited prizes for yourself or your dorm room! 
  • Terrarium Make-and-Take, University Center Patio
    Play in the dirt a bit and take home a new plant friend! High- and low-light plants are brought in from a local greenhouse. 
  • Lunch on the Kent Library Portico
    A cookout lunch will be provided by SEMO Dining. Students can use a meal swipe to pay for lunch, or the cost is $5 per person. 
  • Sugar Chic ice cream truck, 11-2
    Come enjoy free hand-scooped ice cream from a local favorite! 
  • Family Scavenger Hunt
    How well do you and your family know campus? Check in at the info tent and see how many SEMO landmarks you can find!

Football tailgate in front of Houck Stadium
Kick off the football game with appearances by the Southeast Missouri State Marching Band, Sundancers, Cheerleaders, and Rowdy! Also cheer on the football team as they stroll around the stadium in the Redhawk Walk two hours prior to kickoff. Personal tailgating space is available in the Wehking Alumni Center parking lots.

A Day on the River, sponsored by the Missouri Department of Conservation
Discover what the river has to offer you! Hands-on activities will teach you the importance of the Mississippi River and surrounding wetlands. 

Shipyard Music Festival, a local music festival in Downtown Cape Girardeau, MO on September 23 & 24, 2022 to celebrate the magic of food and cheer and song.

Ulysses S. Grant Bicentennial Exhibit at Heritage Hall, 102 North Main Street. This traveling exhibit courtesy of the Missouri Humanities Council for the Bicentennial of Ulysses S. Grant’s birth tells the story of one of America’s most fascinating presidents through the lens of his own words. Heritage Hall is open 12:00-5:00p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
