Welcome to Southeast!

Whether it’s attending a theatre production, playing intramurals, going to worship, or joining a student organization, take time to explore the variety of programs and events created with you in mind. “Engage in 8!” events have appeal for all students from first year to graduate, domestic to international, traditional to non-traditional. We want you to feel comfortable attending any event as you get to know and become a part of the Southeast community.

Responsible Redhawks

Southeast is committed to promoting a community of Responsible Redhawks – a community that encourages a holistic, healthy environment. Opening Week

International Student Orientation For Fall Semester 2022

  • The 'Check-In' event for Fall Semester (August) and Spring Semester (January) is held in the International Village Administration Building from 9am to 1pm. Graduate students and Intensive English Programs students should begin to arrive at 9am and Undergraduate students should begin to arrive at 10 a.m. The 'Check-In' event will allow studnets to take care of many necessary items-- please allow for 1-2 hours to complete the 'Check-In' checklist. Lunch will be provided at the event.

    There will be International Orientation Ambassadors along with other student volunteers and OIES staff to help students complete their 'Check-In' checklist on the first day of orientation, and they will continue to help out throughout the week of orientation.

The University Marching Band is an important part of the tradition of the University. In fact, the marching band was formed just two years after the building of Academic Hall (1905), is older than both the Missouri State Flag (1913) and the University Alma Mater (1931). And, the Marching Band is the single largest student organization on campus

  • Turning Point USA at Southeast Missouri State University is a group of liberty-loving activists who work together to educate our peers about the importance of limited government and capitalism. Our chapter seeks to build a strong conservative activist network on campus, plan and execute activism initiatives, help students get registered to vote, and inform our peers about the importance of economic freedom and limited government.
