Whatever you do here, you won’t do alone.

At Southeast Missouri State University, you’ll find exceptional academic mentoring, accommodations and services for students of all abilities, and people who care about your social and emotional well-being as much as your academic success.

The services and resources we provide are available from the first day of freshman through every level of graduate study.

Student, Social Work

"Many of my achievements are grounded in support from my teachers, staff and mentors that I have connected with along the way. Because of hard work, effort and guidance from the community, I am now preparing to graduate with a bachelor’s degree and excited to pursue a master’s degree."

We support your journey.

  • Academics

Tacking college coursework can be tough. Let’s do this. Together. SEMO offers various resources you may need to navigate your classes: The Learning Assistance Programs to provide you with tutoring, mentorship, and employment opportunities; Textbook Rental to provide you with books for your course at a reasonable price; IT services to ensure your technology is up and running. We are invested in your success both in and out of the classroom.
  • Advising

We want you to ask the tough questions because wherever your academic journey may take you, we’re here to help guide you through it. Advising and course enrollment is part of your orientation process and is designed to help develop a roadmap for your success at Southeast.
  • Health & Wellness

Access the resources to ensure your mind, body, and spirit are as healthy as your GPA. The Student Recreation Center is the hub of personal fitness on campus, with group fitness classes, personal training, and nutritional counseling. The Campus Health Clinic provides many of the same offerings as your family doctor at home.
  • Careers

Do more than score your first interview. Ace the interaction with preparation and practice; you’ll do that here. Career Services exists to help Redhawks spread their wings beyond the classrooms on campus. We’ll review your resume, run through mock interviews, and provide coaching aligned with your career goals.

At Southeast, I was given so many opportunities to meet people and faculty who wanted me to do well. They wanted to see me succeed. And that was just something that I really appreciated. I'm very, very thankful to be able to have all the support that I do at Southeast.
