First-Time Freshman
You’re a first-time freshman if you’re currently in high school, recently graduated, or under 21 with no college credit.
If this is your first time applying to college, we’ll guide you through each step—from application to enrollment.

Transfer Student
If you’ve taken classes at a community college or another university, you’re a transfer student.
We’ll help you understand how your credits transfer and how they apply to your degree at SEMO.

Online Student
Looking for flexibility? SEMO offers fully online programs designed to fit your schedule.
You can complete your degree 100% online. When applying, select “Online Only” as your location of interest.

Adult Learner
If you’re 21 or older and starting or returning to college, you’re considered an adult learner.
Whether you want to attend full time, part time, in person or online, we’ll help you find the path that works for you.

International Student
If you require a visa to study in the United States, you’re considered an international student.
Our team will guide you through the application process, visa requirements and next steps to prepare for studying at SEMO.

If you’ve already earned a bachelor’s degree and are ready to continue your education, you’re a graduate student.
SEMO offers a range of master’s programs, both in person and online, to help you advance your career.
