Southeast Missouri State University wants you to become future Redhawk and the Office of International Education and Services will be delighted to help in the admissions process.
If you are not a U.S. citizen or you do not yet hold U.S. Permanent Resident status, you should apply as an international student.
NOTICE
Application for degree programs for Fall 2023 is now closed. However, students may still apply for the October 2023 intake of the Intensive English Program. Those who have missed the deadline can now apply for the Spring and Fall 2024 intakes. As a reminder to graduate applicants, the Spring 2024 deadline for international applicants to MS Applied Computer Science (Main Campus) and MS Cybersecurity (Main Campus) is October 1. To meet the deadline, all required application materials must be submitted and application fee paid on time. More information on our graduate program admission requirements and early application deadlines can be found at semo.edu/academics/grad/index.

First-Year International
Will you be entering Southeast after completing High School? Follow these steps to apply as a first-year international student.

Undergraduate Transfer International
International applicants who have completed any post-secondary education are considered undergraduate transfer students.

Graduate International
If you wish to pursue a master's degree, apply as a graduate international student.

IEP Conditional Undergraduate
Students seeking admission to undergraduate programs that meet all admission requirements except English Language Proficiency can seek undergraduate conditional admission -
IEP Conditional Graduate
Students seeking admission to graduate programs that meet all admission requirements except tests (English Language Proficiency and applicable graduate exams) can seek graduate conditional admission.

Exchange Student
This program uses an established relationship or agreement through Southeast that exchanges students with another designated college or university. Costs are equal to Southeast tuition and fees. Duration of these are typically a semester or academic year. -
Visiting Scholar
Southeast Missouri State University is a program sponsor participant of the J-1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program administered by the U.S. Department of State (DoS). This visa category is for candidates approved to participate in work-and-study-based exchange visitor programs.
