The Arrow, the student newspaper at Southeast Missouri State, was honored with six national awards during the ACP/CMA Fall National Media Convention in October 2020.

The Fault Line Film Festival is the annual narrative short film competition for university and high school students held on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.

Student-run strategic media agency.
SE Creative gives students the chance to develop their skills in an agency setting and work on real projects with actual clients.

Live sporting events streamed on ESPN+ annually.
TV/film majors stream more than 80 live sporting and cultural arts events on ESPN+ as well as more than 70 local TV programs annually.
Learn While Doing
With dedicated creative spaces, student organizations, and student productions, you will get your hands on the tools of your trade and learn in exciting places outside of the classroom.
Pro on the Go Initiative
Students taking classes within the Department of Mass Media that are at the 300-level and above are required to have either a MacBook Air or MacBook Pro laptop computer for use in the classroom during class time.
