At Southeast we are invested in making sure our faculty have the support they need to continue their development.

The CTL hosts a variety of ways for you to advance. We host streams and workshops throughout the semester. At the beginning of each semester, we host a Faculty Development Day. Other opportunities include book studies and discussions and certificates.

Professional Development Workshops

Professional development offerings from the CTL provide updates and information on recent research regarding learning science, best practices, and trends and movements within higher education regardless of the platform, face to face, blended or online. This encourages faculty to pursue their own teaching and learning scholarship. And, if you miss a workshop, you can catch up on our stream channel. All events are in the mySEMO portal - just filter on CTL events.

  • Course Training

There are many different ways to teach a class, from face to face, to online, to blended options featuring both. We want to ensure you have the resources to excel at any method required of you.
  • Culturally Responsive Teaching

The cultural diversity found on Southeast’s campus deserves being taught with respect. This certificate is a series of workshops, presentations, and book studies devoted to reflecting up on teaching that diversity.
