Transfer Orientation

At Southeast, we are committed to making the transition to our campus community easier for you.

Transfer Orientation is an optional event for students who have completed 24 or more college credit hours. During this orientation, we introduce you to Southeast, other transfer students, and your academic advisor to jumpstart your education process at SEMO.

Orientation Dates

Spring/Summer/Fall 2024	Virtual Orientation	Can't make it to a face-to-face event? Meet with your advisor on your schedule and enroll in courses, and we will send you access to an online course after your enrollment is complete. No separate event registration is required.
Summer/Fall 2024	Wednesday, April 10 Deadline to Register: Wednesday, April 3	Hear a variety of presentations about important services from offices on campus and meet other new transfer students. Includes an info fair, breakout meetings, lunch, (optional) campus tours, and a 1-on-1 meeting with an advisor to enroll in your first semester.
Summer/Fall 2024	Wednesday, April 24	Hear a variety of presentations about important services from offices on campus and meet other new transfer students. Includes an info fair, breakout meetings, lunch, (optional) campus tours, and a 1-on-1 meeting with an advisor to enroll in your first semester.
Summer/Fall 2024	Wednesday, May 22	Hear a variety of presentations about important services from offices on campus and meet other new transfer students. Includes an info fair, breakout meetings, lunch, (optional) campus tours, and a 1-on-1 meeting with an advisor to enroll in your first semester.

Transfer students will receive access to an online orientation course after they enroll for their first semester at SEMO if they do not attend an in-person event listed above. No separate registration is required.

If you have under 24 transferrable credit hours (at least one full semester post-high school), as determined by your credit evaluation, you must complete the First STEP Orientation.

Enrollment Fee

All new transfer undergraduate domestic students (not exclusively at a regional campus or in a fully online degree program) will be charged a $100 enrollment fee on their first full semester bill to Southeast. There is no separate charge for orientation.

Transfer Orientation introduces you to the personal support systems in place to set you up for amazing achievements in your time on campus. We give you the time and place to meet with your academic advisor in one of our groundbreaking academic areas that will help you launch an extraordinary career.
