Transfer Orientation

At Southeast, we are committed to making the transition to our campus community easier for you.

Transfer Orientation is an optional event for students who have completed 24 or more college credit hours. During this orientation, we introduce you to Southeast, other transfer students, and your academic advisor to jumpstart your education process at SEMO.

Orientation Dates

Spring 2025		All events have passed for Spring 2025. Please contact your academic advisor or the Transfer Center if you are still planning to enroll for the 2nd 8 week part of the spring semester.
Summer/Fall 2025	Wednesday, April 2, 2025 Wednesday, April 30, 2025 Wednesday, May 21, 2025 Wednesday, July 9, 2025	You will hear various presentations about important services from offices on campus and meet other new transfer students. Includes an info fair, breakout meetings, lunch, (optional) campus tours, and a 1-on-1 meeting with an advisor to enroll in your first semester.
Summer/Fall 2025	1:1 Advising and Virtual Transfer Orientation	Can't make it to a face-to-face event? Meet with your advisor on your schedule and enroll in courses, and we will send you access to an online course.

Registering for Orientation

You will log in to register for orientation using your SEMO credentials. Please make sure you have activated your SE Key before registering for orientation.

You will only see orientation options that you meet the criteria to attend. If your credit evaluation is not yet completed, you should wait until you have received that information, or you may not see the option to register for Transfer Orientation.

If you have under 24 transferrable credit hours (at least one full semester post-high school), as determined by your credit evaluation, you must complete the First STEP Orientation.

Virtual Orientation

Transfer students who do not wish to complete an in person event day can register for our option listed as 1:1 Advising and Virtual Transfer Orientation. Once registered, your customized task list will populate with the steps to schedule advising and give you a link to our optional self-paced orientation.

Enrollment Fee

All new transfer undergraduate domestic students (not exclusively at a regional campus or in a fully online degree program) will be charged a $100 enrollment fee on their first full semester bill to Southeast. There is no separate charge for orientation.
