The MacBook laptop was chosen because of its capacity to produce multimedia projects. Mac devices are widely used by professionals in the mass media field. By using one in the classroom, students can begin preparing for their future profession.
Mass Media students will use their MacBook laptop to create a personalized learning experience in a collaborative work environment in order to develop critical 21st century media storytelling skills.
The hardware and software that is exclusive to the MacBook laptops will be used during class meetings as well as outside of class to complete assignments.
Faculty will be using their MacBook laptops in the classroom in conjunction with the students to initiate teaching and learning that is interactive and on target with what is happening in today’s media industry.
