Clark Terry/Phi Mu Alpha Jazz Festival
The Clark Terry/Phi Mu Alpha Jazz Festival is an annual event which provides resources for the development of jazz ensembles and professional development for jazz educators.
Double Reed Day
This annual event features a talented instructor who provides instruction for oboe and bassoon with a recital. The Double Reed Day is intended for high school students interested in developing their skills.
The Fine Arts Entrepreneurship Residency provides an opportunity for Southeast students from all departments, at no cost, to learn what it takes to be successful during their career search and how to stand out above other competitors.
Hornist of all ages are invited to join us at Horn Day. With professional instruction from featured guest artists and Southeast faculty, attendees can expect to receive valued education to perfect their skills in horns.
Men's Choral Festival/Treble Choral Festival
This annual festival is a single-day event open to tenor and bass singers in high school and community college which encourages young men to sing and features a guest instructor.
Percussion Day is held annually featuring instruction from guest percussionists and open to all ages.
The Rising Star Competition
The Rising Star Young Artist Concerto Competition is for pre-college string players. The competition consists of a preliminary and a final round of auditions. Winners receive a cash prize and invitation to participate in a series concert with the Southeast Symphony.
Single Reed/Flute Day
This annual event includes master classes, special topic instruction, with guest artists. The single reed/flute day is open to pre-college students interested in expanding their skills.
String Day is a new event offered at Southeast for string players in high school or college. Students who attend will participate in master classes, technique workshops, mini-recitals, audition tips, and string ensemble music.
The Trombone/Euphonium Day includes a guest artist and intended for trombonist, euphoniumist, and band directors. Attendees will receive education to expand their skills, a master class, and an opportunity to perform.
