What is a Career Expo?

The Career Expo is a networking opportunity for companies, current Southeast students, and alumni. Over 140 employers, recruiters, and schools attend this event to actively recruit students for potential internships and full-time job opportunities available with their organizations.

Why should I attend the Career Expo?

The Career Expo provides an excellent opportunity for students across all majors to actively engage with employers who have internships and full-time positions to fill. Other benefits of attending this event include learning more about future opportunities with specific companies, solidifying personal career goals, and building a professional network. All students, regardless of current year of classification are encouraged to attend.

What should I wear to the Career Expo?

The Office of Career Services recommends students who are actively job-seeking wear professional business attire appropriate to their field. Make sure clothes are clean and wrinkle-free and wear shoes that are comfortable yet professional.

Hear from Career Services staff

"We want to see our students, obviously, stay here in the region and make this a healthy region. But we also want to see students grow, and succeed, and go nationally and regionally to different employers. An education at Southeast Missouri State University can take you to all corners of the country, all corners of the globe, and even local, really great employers."
