Welcome to Southeast. We can't wait to see what you do!

Students seeking admission to undergraduate programs that meet all admission requirements except English Language Proficiency can seek undergraduate conditional admission.

Follow the steps below to apply for admission to our Intensive English program with conditional admission to the undergraduate/bachelor’s program.

Step 1: Email Your Supporting Documents

Email scanned copies of the items listed below to international@semo.edu. Please note:

  • To ensure efficiency and timely processing, please include all required documents in one email (per student) whenever possible, and provide the student's last name, first name, and date of birth in the subject line.
  • Emails sent to international@semo.edu with attached application documents are placed in a queue to await processing. Therefore, questions asked in the body of emails with attached admissions documents are often not seen. If you have a question for the international admissions team, please send it to international@semo.edu in a separate message without any attachments. Those messages will be replied to promptly.
  • When application documents are emailed to international@semo.edu, the sender receives an automated response confirming the documents have been received. That response will clearly state the anticipated time it will take us to process submitted documents (at which point your application portal page will be updated). Please refrain from contacting us for status updates until after the stated processing time has elapsed.

  • Passport copy
    • Please include valid passport copies for all dependents listed on your application.
    • A passport must be valid at least six months beyond the intended program start date.
