Decorating Your Grad Cap 101

  • Your Best Years

Decorating your cap for graduation is a great way to showcase your personality and add a personal touch to your big day. Here's a guide on how to decorate your cap!

Supplies You'll Need

  • Graduation cap or mortarboard
  • Fabric glue or hot glue gun
  • Decorative items (sequins, rhinestones, beads, fabric paint, stickers, feathers, flowers, etc.)
  • Scissors
  • Marker or pencil (for sketching design)

Plan Your Design

  • Consider your interests, hobbies, achievements, or post-graduation plans for inspiration.
  • Sketch out your design on paper or directly onto the cap using a marker or pencil.

Decorate!

  • Start by applying fabric glue or a hot glue gun to attach your decorations to the cap.
  • Arrange the decorations according to your design plan. You can create patterns, write messages, or add symbols that are meaningful to you.
  • Be creative and have fun with the decoration process!

Final Touches

  • Allow glue to dry completely before wearing or handling your cap.
  • Add any final touches, like glitter or ribbons, if desired.

Congratulations, Redhawk! Once the glue is dry, your cap is ready for your big day. Put it on and celebrate your achievements!
