Southeast's multi-vendor contract for printing and copying services is divided into two options and covers a variety of services. Contracted vendors must be used when University funds are spent for printing and other covered services, regardless of cost. If the University's contracted vendors are unable to meet the specifications of a particular job, approval to use an alternate vendor should be requested prior to the purchase by contacting University Marketing at (573) 651-2459 or

Option 1: Printing Services

Currently there are six pre-certified vendors for work covered under option 1. For assistance in selecting the vendor that is the "right fit" for your publication, contact University Marketing at (573) 651-2459 or Option 1 printing MUST be produced by one of the contracted vendors.

A purchase requisition must be submitted for all projects covered under option 1. Our vendors are flexible with this requirement, and you may enter a purchase requisition after your department receives the invoice.

Option 1 covers all printing services not covered under option 2. It encompasses a wide variety of printed materials, including (but not limited to):

  • Booklets
  • Brochures
  • Folders
  • Newsletters
  • Postcards
  • Posters
  • Soft-cover books and journals
  • Other work, including single or multiple color printing
  • Specialty work (die-cutting, foil stamping, embossing)

Proofs of all jobs to be produced for the University must be presented to this office prior to printing. Option 2a: Professional Business Package
Option 2b: Quick-copy needs

Printing Co. was awarded the contract for option 2a and option 2b. A valid index number must be provided when requesting professional business package or quick-copy services. You will not receive an invoice for these services; billing for these items will be processed internally. Monitor your budget reports carefully for option 2 billings.

Option 2a covers a variety of items ordered frequently by University departments. These items include:

  • Business cards
  • Envelopes
  • Forms (carbonless)
  • Invitations
  • Letterhead
  • Memo pads
  • Note pads

Option 2b includes all types of copying and related services, such as:

  • Black and white copies
  • Color copies
  • Foam board mounting
  • Laminating
  • PowerPoint presentations and other types of presentation materials
  • Spiral and GBC binding
  • Stapling, drilling, and other assorted bindery services

Contracted vendors must be used for purchases of signage and graphics when University funds are used, regardless of cost. The contract applies to many types of items with the University branding and/or logo, such as:

  • Banners (vinyl, mesh, etc.)
  • Coroplast/plastic signs
  • Decals
  • Pop-up banners
  • Tablecloths and table runners
  • Vehicle wraps
  • Window clings

This contract excludes metal signs, printing on paper products (which are covered under the printing services contract), and promotional items for giveaways. A purchase requisition must be submitted for signage and graphics projects. Use account code 707200.

Southeast has contracted with five vendors for promotional items. Use of these vendors is mandatory for promotional item purchases over $3,000. A purchase requisition must be submitted when using one of the contracted vendors, regardless of the amount purchased. Use account code 707360.

Common Issues for University Printing

University Name and Logo

The University's official name is "Southeast Missouri State University." When used in this manner, it must be spelled out with no abbreviations. Acceptable variations and conditions of use include "Southeast," "Southeast Missouri" and "Southeast Missouri State" in text reference in printed matter after the complete name has been established. These variations must never be used alone.

Other than in text reference, the name, "Southeast Missouri State University," as it appears in the official logo, should appear prominently (e.g., on the front cover). When referring to the University, the "U" should be capitalized.

The official logo is the primary component of the Southeast Missouri State University graphics identity system. It consists of three elements--the dome, the Southeast Missouri State University name, and the year it was founded. It must be printed in its entirety, without modifications, and should appear on all University materials, which include, but are not limited to, publications, advertisements, websites, vehicles, and clothing. Use the primary configuration unless space or layout concerns require one of the alternate configurations. To download the logo, go to
