Selection and Matching of Students with Departments

For the students to get the most out of a mentoring relationship, the program attempts to match students with mentors in the department which carries their major. Each department will exercise appropriate judgment regarding employment duties and guidance of their students; however, there are specific mentee needs associated with the placement. The goal of the program is to retain students and assist them as they work towards graduation. Therefore, the program is relying on the department mentors for frontline assistance and monitoring of the students and their success.
