Military Websites, Mandatory Training, Useful Links

Common Access Card (CAC) may be required to access the following websites and OCs will be required to complete training that can only be accessed with a CAC and CAC reader.  Installing CAC reader and certificates information page here.

milConnect provides Soldiers with a username and password that can be used to access a variety of websites and information to include DEERS, Tricare, Education Benefits, Life Insurance, MyPay, and much more!

  • To obtain your username and password visit milConnect DS Logon  and use the Forgot Username and Forgot Password to establish or reset the login capability with your social security number and date of birth.

AKO Army Knowledge Online (CAC or DS Logon) provides access to a variety of DOD and Government websites.

Army Publishing Dictorate (APD) The Army Publishing Directorate (APD) is the Army’s centralized departmental publishing organization in support of readiness. APD manages, authenticates, indexes, sustains, procures printing, distributes publications, forms, and digital.  Limited Army Doctrine is also available on the Army Comprehensive Doctrine mobile APP, no CAC required.

Army Learning System (ALMS) ALMS is a centralized training system, allowing training NCOs, training managers, instructors, unit commanders, and individual users to schedule, register, and deliver standardized Army training to Soldiers and DA Civilians at home and abroad. Users can register for self-paced courses. From the office, home or DTF, Soldiers and Army civilians will be able to meet their distributed learning needs 24/7.

Blended Retirement System (BRS) Information on the new Blended Retirement System that allows Service Members to draw retirement after as little as two years of qualifying service.

TRICARE (CAC or DS Logon) Enroll in TRICARE Health Insurance:  $48 for single Soldiers and $218 for family plans. Enroll in TRICARE Dental Insurance: $8 for single Soldiers and $18 for family plans.

Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) Regardless of your retirement plan option, Service Members can set up a TSP through their MyPay account and make adjustments to their account here once their user name and password are mailed to the Service Member.

Travel Card Application Training All Officer Candidates must complet the mandatory training, CAC is required.  You must register for an account and then select Training --> Travel Card Programs --> "Travel Card 101".  You will need to save the certificate for submission with your application. Note: Your computer must have Flash Player in order to run this training.
