Gabe Drueke uses his past experience as a graphic designer to influence his work with abstract acrylic canvases, using familiar tools like lettering and pin-striping brushes. Complete with expertly handmade frames, Drueke's work is rapidly gaining recognition for its meticulous craftsmanship. 

Beyond the Forge offers a glimpse into Drueke's unexpected exploration of abstract acrylic painting and the insight it has given him. The title of the exhibition is a reference to the physically demanding work environments of which he has long been accustomed. 

A reception for Beyond the Forge will take place on Friday, Ovtober 4 from 5-7 p.m. at Catapult Creative House.
