The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Governors approved the appointment of Kent Phillips and the reappointment of Dr. Brad Sheriff as University representatives to the Show Me Center Board of Managers.
Phillips, assistant director of athletics for facilities and event management at Southeast, will serve a term ending Dec. 1, 2024. He replaces Dr. Nick Johnston. Sheriff’s reappointment would be effective Dec. 1, 2022 to Dec. 1, 2025. Appointments are subject to confirmation by the Cape Girardeau City Council.
The third University representative on the Board is Eric Redinger, director of the Student Recreation Center. City representatives on the Board of Managers are Kenneth Haskin, Mary Darby, and Lincoln Scott.
The Multi-use Center Agreement between the City of Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri State University calls for both the City Council and the Board of Governors to each appoint three members to the Show Me Center Board of Managers. Members serve three-year staggered terms so only two members are appointed each year.
