Missouri is FULL of state parks, trails and rivers for picnicking, hiking and floating. You never have to drive too far to find a beautiful view.
Missouri is home to a number of wonderful art and history museums, theatres, concert venues and much more! No matter what you’re into, Missouri has it.
4. Farmer’s Markets
Farmer’s Markets are a great way to get local produce from reliable sources and there are tons throughout Missouri. In the spring and summer months, Cape Girardeau has two markets each week! You will also find handmade products like soaps, jewelry and even woodworking.
Kansas City is famous for its particular brand of barbeque, and you’re sure to find similar recipes anywhere in Missouri. It’s not the official state meal, but it might as well be.
6. Success Abounds
Ever heard of Maya Angelou, Mark Twain, T.S. Eliot or Tennessee Williams? How about John Goodman, Brad Pitt, Eminem, Kate Spade, Jon Hamm or Southeast alum, Cedric “The Entertainer” Kyles? These are just a few of the most famous Missourians who have gone out into life and CRUSHED it!
7. All Four Seasons
Missouri weather is known for its unpredictability, but we are still lucky enough to experience all four seasons throughout the year. Winter brings us gorgeous snow-covered hills, spring delivers baby animals and sunshine, the summer heat is a perfect match for all the float trips you could ever want and the crisp autumn air brings crunchy leaf piles and bonfires.
