Program Description

Program Description
The Japanese Language Course for Exchange Students (JLCES) is aimed at improving the ability of students to use practical Japanese in their daily life and enabling them to understand Japan more deeply through experience-based lessons. After completing the course, students will be able to express important aspects of their life and study in Japan in appropriate Japanese. Students are expected to know at least 300 Kanji characters and have 300 hours of prior Japanese language study.

Program Description
The Student Exchange Program provides students the opportunity to study at Meio University (Okinawa, Japan) for 1 semester or 1 academic year. Exchange students will mainly take Japanese Language Courses (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced level) as well as academic courses depending on their Japanese Language level. They will also be able to learn about Japanese - Okinawan history and culture through our field trips. Japanese Language Proficiency Requirement: More than or equal to JLPT N2 (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) or JPT 525 (Japanese Proficiency Test) is desirable, but we can also accept students who are at a lower level.
