Costs for Semester and Full-Year Programs:
- Exchange Semester Programs: Pay your regular SEMO tuition. Living costs depend on your destination.
- Semester Abroad, AIFS Abroad, & CIEE Programs: Tuition and living costs vary by program and country.
Cost of Short-term Programs:
- SEMO Faculty-led Programs: Pay for 3 credit hours at your SEMO tuition rate. Program fees vary based on the destination and activities.
- Short-term Partner University, AIFS Abroad, & CIEE Programs: Tuition and living costs depend on the program.
Scholarships and Financial Aid for Study Abroad
There are many ways to help fund your study abroad experience:- SEMO Study Abroad Scholarships: Apply at semo.academicworks.com. Search “study abroad” and apply by February 1 for scholarships for the next academic year.
- President’s Scholarship (and President's Finalists): Includes a one-time $1,500 study abroad stipend.
- Use Your SEMO Scholarships and Financial Aid: Regular SEMO scholarships and financial aid can cover study abroad programs.
- Military Benefits: Some benefits may have restrictions. Contact the Office of Military and Veterans Services for more details.
