HIV and other STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) Testing

Southeast students, faculty, and staff can have confidential testing completed at the Campus Health Clinic.

STI Screening

Together, you and your clinician will determine what tests, if any, are appropriate. Tests may require: 

  • An oral, skin, vaginal, penile, or rectal swab
  • A cervical culture or a blood draw

STI tests available through the Campus Health Clinic include:

  • Chlamydia/Gonorrhea
  • Syphillis/Trichomoniasis
  • Herpes
  • HIV

All testing, treatment, and counseling are handled in a strictly confidential manner.

The Campus Health Clinic can also provide you with educational assistance and/or referral for any other sexual health questions or concerns you may have. 

The Cape Girardeau Public Health Center also provides STI testing, including HIV, on Tuesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. or by appointment. Contact the Public Health Center for details on costs or to make an appointment by contacting them at (573) 335-7846.
