As a student in the Holland College of Arts and Media, you will participate in professional training and degree programs incorporating your creativity with necessary skills and knowledge needed in the marketplace to launch an extraordinary career.

Learning comes from productions in our professional cultural arts center and performance halls, often in your first semester, which is not allowed at some universities. Or maybe you'll gain experience working on our national award-winning student newspaper, at several televisions programs that air on the local CBS affiliate or ESPN+ livestreams. All this work means your first day on the job won't be your first day doing the job. With nearly 96% of our graduates are employed or continuing their education within 6 months of graduating,we think this experience makes them competitive job candidates.

During my time at Southeast, I had a lot of courses with Dr. Kari Hollerbach. She had a lot of insights and knowledge about the mass communication world. She also had real-life projects to work on, instead of everything being an example from a textbook. I remember working on an actual campaign for the Southeast Bookstore and competing with other classmates during a client pitch.
