A night of music featuring Jesse Steele!

A Southeast Missouri native, adjunct professor Jesse Steele attended SEMO from 2013-2018, obtaining a dual degree in both Composition and Classical Guitar Performance. After obtaining his Bachelor's, he was accepted as a Master's student at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he studied Classical Guitar Performance and Pedagogy. Since receiving his masters degree in 2020, Jesse has been teaching and performing at summer camps, workshops, and classes at the SEMO Art Council.

This guitar recital will jump-start a recital series for plucked strings, Pluckophony. This program will include lute, guitar, and banjo as Jesse revisits music that secured his fascination with plucked instruments.

This event will take place at Shuck Music Recital Hall at the River Campus, and is free and open to the public.
