The phrase, FACILIS DESCENSUS AVERNO (Descent into Hell is easy) comes from the Aenid. It suggests that there is no easy route back from destruction, but the path there is easy to traverse. Many ecosystems in our world have been permanently changed via the actions of humans. To fix everything will be a difficult task. This exhibition presents visual metaphors that illuminate the unique ways the fauna of our world is being forced to adapt to these changes.

An opening reception for FACILIS DESCENSUS AVERNO will take place on Friday, October 10 from 5-7 p.m. in the Slingshot Gallery at Catapult Creative House.
