The Department of Art and Design students at Southeast Missouri State University show off their creative talent during this annual exhibit. Some artworks on display will be available for purchase. Categories of art include drawing, printmaking, painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, fibers, and digital media.
This year’s juror is Ryan Paluczak, a dual-department faculty member in Computer Science & Engineering and Fine Art at St. Joseph's Academy in St. Louis, Missouri.
"I teach creative courses with an emphasis on digital processes, physical products, and a philosophical approach to making. Through a holistic view of education considerate of mind, body, and spirit, I help students identify and strengthen their creative voices. I educate students for competence, confidence, and agency on their journey," he says.
Paluczak earned his BFA in Art with a specialization in Printmaking from Southeast Missouri State University, an MA in Studio Art from Eastern Illinois University, and an MFA in Sculpture and Expanded Media from Illinois State University.
