Feathered Friends will be the topic for February Art Classes for Adults at Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum.
This is a small group; if you have no experience, this is the place to start. Participants may work in the medium they like and follow mini-lessons taught by Ellen Flentge, curator of education.
February’s theme is Feathered Friends. Participants can create an image with a bird or birds as the focal point. It can be simplistic with a suggested partial branch as a perch or more detailed with more habitat portrayed. Birds can be quick in minimal strokes that don't always stay "inside the lines" or very detailed to precisely get the right amount of feathers correct in places. You may choose the more familiar native species or expand your knowledge into those not found in our area.
February's Art for Adults will be held each week from 9 a.m.-noon and 2-5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Art for Adults is free to the University community. For public registration, there is a $5 fee per class, or $100 for the year. To register, please
