Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance proudly presents Rodgers and Hammerstein's masterpiece hit musical, "Oklahoma!"

One of the landmarks of the 20th century American theatre, "Oklahoma!" is also one of the defining events of American culture. There's nothing corny about this wonderfully fresh and exciting production, directed by Dr. Kenneth L. Stilson. It's an action-packed, truthful, touching and gripping drama about growing up and falling in love, about dreams and nightmares. Forget baseball, hot dogs and apple pie. Nothing is more American than "Oklahoma!" It's firmly embedded in the canon of America's greatest cultural creations. Often considered the first modern musical, "Oklahoma!" reshaped the Broadway landscape and gave the state of Oklahoma national recognition, pride and a song that continues to resonate worldwide.

The first collaboration of the team Rodgers & Hammerstein follows the love story of cowboy Curly and farm girl Laurey as they find a way to make a life together in an uncharted western America. The memorable tunes and delightful characters of this classic golden age musical will have you shouting O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A - OKLAHOMA!

This event will take place in Rust Flexible Theatre.
