Anatomy of a Drawing, an Exhibition of Works by Associate Professor Josh Newth's Drawing I Students, will be on view from October 4 through October 25 at the Nest Gallery.
This exhibition explores the construciton of a drawing and the introduction to composition through the first resolved drawing completed in Newth's Drawing I class. The drawings represented in this exhibition began as gestural sketches which students refined until they created an accurate drawing of a still-life. Drawing I is an introduction to drawing form observation and is a class that is taken by both art majors and non-majors alike.
An opening reception for Anatomy of a Drawing will take place on Friday, October 4 from 5-7 p.m. in the Nest Gallery.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information contact Dr. Joni Hand at jhand@semo.edu.
