Raquel Martínez is an exchange student from the University of León who is finishing her studies at Southeast Missouri State University as senior student. She is from Navarra, Spain and she is studying Biotechnology. Raquel completed 135 hours of summer internship in a clinical laboratory in Spain. At Southeast, she is attending to 6 credit hours of Biological Research and 4 credit hours of Interdisciplinary Research, in two different laboratories of the University. She was also named in President’s list last semester at Southeast. Raquel is graduating in May and she aspires to study a master to specialize in medical research and be able to contribute in the development of new vaccines and treatments in the future.
