Outreach Specialist — Crisp Museum
As Outreach Specialist, Mr. Tyler organizes, leads, and promotes weekend workshops, programs, and events for Crisp Museum. He is responsible for hanging and labeling the changing exhibitions hosted by the museum, along with distributing promotional items. He coordinate and promotes two outreach travel trunks to local schools, which are titled Native American history and a Straw Rocket Science. He has been with the University since July 2008.
A Jackson native, Mr. Tyler graduated from Jackson High School in 1980. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Christian Education from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. In addition, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Central Methodist College at Mineral Area Community College in Park Hills, Missouri. His Master’s Degree in Education was earned from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri.
Mr. Tyler enjoys collecting die-cast cars, teen mysteries book series published during 50s and 60s, and watching TV with his wife. He is also an ordained Southern Baptist minister and part of the Cape Girardeau Baptist Association in Jackson, Missouri.
