I graduated with my B.S. in Biology in 2006 from SEMO, A.S. in Respiratory Therapy from Mineral Area College/Cape Career and Technology Center (Cape CTC) in 2010, and my M.S. in Environmental Science in 2011 from SEMO. I worked at Saint Francis Medical Center from 2010 through 2018 working in the adult intensive care unit, medical floors, and emergency department. During the COVID pandemic I worked at Saint Francis Medical Center for until my help wasn't needed. I am CPR certified in; Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Heartsaver CPR. I am an instructor for Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Heartsaver CPR.
I started teaching Respiratory Therapy in 2014 at the Cape CTC and truly love the educational world of respiratory therapy. I enjoy teaching other healthcare disciplines about respiratory care and currently educate many healthcare providers each year.
I am very excited with the new SEMO & Cape CTC partnership for the Respiratory Therapy Program that started our first cohort in August 2023. My favorite classes to teach are; CardioPulmonary A&P, Mechanical Ventilation Theory, and Pharmacology.
Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, hunting, fishing, and everything outdoors.
