What does Southeast Missouri State University mean to you?

My parents graduated form Southeast Missouri. Obtaining their education at SMSU was so important to them they set up a scholarship fund. I intend to continue to contribute to it for the rest of my life.

Why is it important to support students (at a time like this)?

Higher education is expensive and challenging. My parents knew that and I intend to continue the tradition.

Higher education is critical to ensuring that this country has individuals prepared for the critical nature of our workforce and wellbeing.

What personal experiences have you had with the students you have helped (who have been helped by the Foundation)?

Every year I get letters thanking me for my contributions and letting me know what field they are studying.
