How the Program Works

Apply and Train – Students who have attended SEMO for at least 1 year apply to be mentors and attend a short training session.

Kickoff Event – New students are paired with mentors and meet at the start of the semester.

Monthly Meet-Ups – Study sessions, campus tours, coffee chats, and game nights keep the connections strong.

Cultural Exchange Events – Share food, stories, and traditions in fun international activities.

Feedback and Growth – Participants share experiences to make the program even better each semester.
Requirements
Mentors
- Current SEMO student with at least one year of experience on campus.
- Attend mentor training and monthly meet-ups.
- Provide guidance, support, and friendship to new students.
Buddies
- Newly enrolled SEMO international student.
- Participate in kickoff, meet-ups, and activities.
- Be open to sharing culture and building friendships.
