Seamless Transition to Excellence:

Qualified students will seamlessly transition to St. George’s University in Grenada for the next phase of their educational voyage. Say goodbye to the competition for a slot – our program ensures students who meet the requirements will have direct entry into SGU's accredited four-year Doctor of Medicine program.

Pre-Med Program

After completing four years of pre-medicine studies at Southeast, students who meet the requirements will be granted admission to SGU’s accredited School of Medicine or School of Veterinary Medicine to continue studies for another four years.

Biomedical Sciences

Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in biology: biomedical sciences will complete three years at Southeast and then be granted entry into SGU’s accredited School of Medicine, if meeting requirements, and trimming a year off their time to a degree.

Admissions Requirements

Applications are reviewed holistically by the teams at Southeast Missouri State University and St. George’s University. However, some general guidelines include:

  • Strong high school grades in the sciences and math.
  • Upon conclusion of the undergraduate program, students must maintain a GPA of 3.4 or above, and obtain a competitive score on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) within 5 points of the average score for entering students, which is 498. The MCAT is recommended, but not required for international students.
  • Must meet all admissions criteria of SGU School of Medicine.
  • Students should apply to join the program after they have been accepted to Southeast Missouri State University.
