9
Historic Preservation Programs Nationally
Southeast is proud to be the home of just one of nine historic preservation programs in the entire country. It’s a program we focus on hands-on learning with culture-rich projects in some of Missouri’s most historical communities plus a two-week field school held every summer.
Support for Experiential Learning
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences greatly values the learning that happens outside of the classroom. This learning may be part of a course or a specific academic program, but it also may be related to job training or professional development. To help our students take advantage of such learning opportunities, we have created two funding programs. The Study Abroad Fund provides up to $500 to offset the costs incurred by a student studying abroad. The Experiential Learning Fund provides up to $500 to help students with expenses related to unpaid internships, professional or career training workshops, and other such opportunities. To apply for funds, click on the appropriate link below. Funds are limited and awards are competitive, so students are strongly encouraged to submit applications by the deadlines. For inquiries, please email us at chss@semo.edu.
Accreditation affirms the high-level quality of the programs and the commitment to continuous improvement.
