Listen as the Southeast Missouri Symphony opens its twenty-fifth season!

This event's program includes American composer John Adams' explosive Short Ride in a Fast Machine and Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique. The highlight of the night is expected to be pianist Marika Bournaki's performance of Gershwin's flamboyant Rhapsody in Blue.

Marika Bournaki is an assistant professor of Piano and Piano Pedagogy at Shenandoah University. She holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Music from the Juilliard School of Music. Dubbed "the Celine Dion of classical" by the Huffington Post, Bournaki has toured internationally as a concert pianist and the subject of the feature-length award-winning documentary "I Am Not a Rockstar." Bournaki will open the 25th season of the Southeast Missouri Symphony.

This event will take place inside Bedell Performance Hall at the River Campus. Ticket prices range from $26-$30. To purchase tickets online, please visit rivercampus.org.
