Johanna Yarbrough is currently an Assistant Professor of French Horn at Louisiana State University. Before her time in Baton Rouge, Yarbrough was a member of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra for twelve years, where she was featured as a soloist numerous times. She has won a number of prestigious awards, including first place in the 2009 University division of the International Horn Competition of America, where she later served as a judge. She has performed with several renowned orchestras, and holds degrees from the University of Alabama and the Colburn Conservatory of Music.

Yarbrough's horn recital will take place inside Shuck Music Recital Hall at the River Campus and will feature Dr. Barb Lamont on piano. Ticket prices range from $15.75-$19.25, with discounts available. Currently enrolled SEMO students can purchase their discounted $5 ticket by contacting any University box office with their student ID.
