Tickets make the perfect holiday gift. This spring, Dobbins Conservatory brings to life, L. Frank Baum’s glorious fantasy, The Wizard of Oz. Based on the iconic 1939 film starring Judy Garland, The Wizard of Oz has been a continual favorite for children, families, and people of all ages for generations. From the sepia tones of Kansas and through a tornado that transports audiences into the fanciful world of Oz, brimming with color and filled with magical characters, this musical seduces and delights its audiences, while inspiring them with lessons centering on friendship.

After her house lands in Oz, killing the Wicked Witch of the East, young Dorothy Gale must find her way back home to Kansas by following the yellow brick road. Along the way, Dorothy and her new friends, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, and her little dog, Toto, discover that appearances are not always what they seem and that “there’s no place like home.” The music is wonderful and infectious, and the story is timeless. Every child should have the opportunity to experience The Wizard of Oz, and every adult should relive the cherished memory of one of the most enduring and magical musicals ever written.

Whether gifting to others or getting them early for you and your family, The Wizard of Oz is sure to be the hottest ticket in town this April. An enchanted evening of theatre for the whole family! Children are encouraged to come in costume.
