Ribbon Cutting Today for New CTC Facility to House Cape College Center
05/04/2017

The Cape Career and Technology Center (CTC) is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning for its $3.8 million, 25,000-square-foot expansion project. The new CTC building, located at 1080 S. Silver Springs Road in Cape Girardeau, will be the location for the Cape College Center, a partnership between Southeast Missouri State University, Three Rivers College and Mineral Area College. The Cape College Center, which will lease space in the building, is an open enrollment higher education center and provides community college-type services to the citizens of Cape Girardeau County and the CTC service region. The addition to the CTC campus includes a newly constructed building featuring eight classrooms, three computer labs, one healthcare lab and one science lab. The new building also will house the CTC’s physical-therapy assistant program, which currently operates out of a facility in Doctors Park. Classes will be held in the new building beginning in summer 2017. The ribbon cutting began at 10 a.m.
