SMSTA Hosting Second Annual 'Spring into Reading Literacy' Walk April 8
04/06/2017

Southeast's chapter of the Student Missouri State Teachers Association (SMSTA) will host its second annual 'Spring into Reading Literacy Walk' tomorrow, April 8 from 2-4 p.m. The Literacy Walk is an annual event each year for friends and families to guide their children down the walk while reading a large picture book staked along the path. After completing the Literacy Walk, the children will receive candy and a free book of their very own made possible by donations from various participating organizations. This event is free to children of all ages! What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon with a stroll, a good book and candy while supporting Southeast's teacher candidates. In case of rain, the Literacy Walk will be postponed until April 22.
