Southeast Economic and Business Engagement Center Studying Feasibility of Regional Artisan Innovation Hub
03/17/2017

Input from a series of community workshops to learn about and discuss the needs of local artists and craftspeople who want to increase production of their work and reach a broader sales market will be analyzed as part of a feasibility study conducted by Southeast Missouri State University’s Economic and Business Engagement Center. The study will be used to determine whether a regional Artisan Innovation Hub is viable in the Ozarks – Ripley, Carter, Shannon and Oregon counties in Missouri, and Randolph and Sharp counties in Arkansas – and, if so, how to best implement it. Doniphan Vitality and University of Missouri Extension will facilitate the series of community workshops scheduled in March, April and May. The workshops are open to the public. To find a workshop date and location near you, visit ozarkartisans.org or call (573) 996-5257 or (870) 335-7409.
