Rec Services Offering Sustainable Eating, Self Defense Classes

Recreation Services is offering two upcoming events after Spring Break. Lunch & Learn 'Let’s Talk About Sustainable Eating' What does it mean to eat sustainably? Join Katie Diebold, registered dietitian with Chartwells, at noon on March 22 in the Student Recreation Center Multipurpose Room to find out. This seminar will outline the benefits of eating cage-free/free range chicken and eggs, reduced antibiotic poultry, sustainable seafood and more. What does it all mean and what are the benefits? Self-Defense Class Join Recreation Services in the University Center Program Lounge on Saturday, March 25, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to learn to defend yourself against a possible predator. Nick Slinkard, head martial arts instructor, will teach ways to protect yourself in the event of an assault. Pre-registration is encouraged by emailing Sara Wagganer at swagganer@semo.edu.
