Southeast's Participation Postponed in Missouri Statewide Tornado Drill
03/03/2017

Southeast Missouri State University's participation in the Missouri statewide tornado drill, originally planned for 10 a.m. this morning, has been postponed. Because the City of Cape Girardeau has decided not to participate and because of recent severe weather in the area, the drill will not take place as scheduled. This is severe weather awareness week, and in conjunction with this weeklong designation, the National Weather Service St. Louis Forecast Office has compiled information about a variety of weather threats and the safety measures to take in response, at its Severe Weather Awareness Week site, http://www.weather.gov/lsx/severeweek. In addition, Missouri StormAware is using Facebook and Twitter to help provide severe weather facts and safety information in the days leading up to and during Severe Weather Awareness Week.
