02/16/2017

The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents will set room and board rates and consider a Residence Life budget for FY18 when it meets at 9 a.m. Feb. 17 in the Board of Regents Room in Academic Hall. The Board also is expected to consider a business policy on tobacco-free campuses, a banking services contract, academic program changes and a schedule of major capital projects and maintenance and repair items for FY18. The Regents will hear several reports on state appropriations and the impact on the University’s budget; processes and procedures for handling sexual violence cases; and a presentation from Southeast student Megan Parks, an exercise science major from Bonne Terre, Missouri, who is the representative for Southeast and the Ohio Valley Conference on the NCAA Division I National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The Board also will hear a report on academic programs under development and a progress report on contacts and Facilities Management projects. The Regents will consider a motion to go into a closed session for appropriate considerations related to litigation; hiring, firing, disciplining or promotion of employees; personnel records and performance ratings; and records protected from disclosure by law. When the open session reconvenes, the final item on the agenda will be consideration of a motion to adjourn.
