2017 Minimum Wage Increase and Tax Updates Announced

Effective Jan. 1, 2017, the Missouri minimum wage increased to $7.70 per hour from $7.65 per hour. The Human Resources Office has adjusted employee pay rates, as required. The maximum amount of earnings subject to the Social Security payroll tax will go up to $127,200 in 2017 from $118,500. Also, both Missouri and Federal tax tables have been changed for 2017.
