Regents to Set FY18 Operating Budget

The Southeast Missouri State University Board of Regents will consider the University’s general operating and auxiliary budgets for fiscal year 2018 when it meets at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 26, in the Board of Regents Room in Academic Hall. The first item of business will be consideration of a motion to go into a closed session for appropriate considerations related to litigation; lease, purchase or sale of real estate; hiring, firing, disciplining or promotion of personnel; preparation for negotiations with employee groups; personnel records and performance ratings; and records which are protected from disclosure by law. When the open session reconvenes, the Regents will announce actions taken during the closed session. The Board also will then consider the University’s FY18 general operating and auxiliary budgets, a fiscal year 2019 capital budget request to be submitted to the Missouri Department of Higher Education and a motion concerning academic program changes. The Regents also will hear a report on contracts and Facilities Management projects. The Board will consider a motion to go into a closed executive session for appropriate considerations related to litigation; hiring, firing, discipling or promotion of personnel; personnel records and performance ratings; and records protected from disclosure by law. When the open session reconvenes, the Board will announce actions taken during the closed executive session and will consider approving bylaws related to the Board of Regents.
